Ark Homes is an experienced, quality construction company based in West Berkshire that has established a strong reputation for reliability, high standards of workmanship and excellent customer service.
With over 30 years’ experience, they have worked on a diverse range of projects from residential new builds, extensions, refurbishments and renovations through to landscaping and driveway construction. They can guide their clients through building projects of any size, from conception to completion.
- The Challenge
A brand-new Jazzbones client, Ark Homes’ brief was a clear one – build us a great-looking contemporary website! The kind of challenge we relish.
We used Opensource website solutions to build the bespoke website, which has the advantage of being affordable and also easy to update with continuously evolving functionality and templates added to the equation by a worldwide network of users.
- The Strategy
A key starting point for the website design was the client’s geometric logo in the shape of a house which we adapted to create various overlays superimposed on images.
We tweaked the client’s original logo colouring to use a richer orange which compliments nicely the abundant white background. We also use two nice, warm neutrals, notably a ‘construction related’ stone grey, for contrast.
For the main typeface we use sans-serif while for the intros we use a lovely serif font that creates the kind of classic feel you would expect to see on a premium interior design website.
- The Result
Overall, Ark Homes’ new website is fab looking, fit-for-purpose and is an ideal showcase for their quality construction work. Moving forward it will be easy for them to update as the back-end has very adaptable page architecture and drag and drop functionality.
