Honda says Thank You to its Swindon-based Associates.

When Honda opened its factory on the old Vickers Supermarine Spitfire airfield in South Marston in 1985 it was a landmark moment in Swindon’s history. Thirty-six years and millions of cars later, that journey as the Japanese carmaker’s European hub is coming to an end.

As Honda’s time in Swindon sadly comes to an end, we have embarked on one of our biggest projects, a beautifully designed and illustrated, 126-page hardback book which chronicles the history of the company in Swindon, a copy of which will be presented to every Honda associate (worker) to mark the end of an era.

We have also provided design and illustration for Honda’s thank you campaign which wishes their 3000+ associates at the Swindon site a BIG thank you for their hard work over the years. Like a lot of the campaigns we’ve produced for the comms team, the Thank You campaign uses primary sites around the Honda plant to communicate with their employees and this campaign uses a bold and playful bespoke illustrative narrative to connect with a variety of different associates from office and admin workers through to operatives on the manufacturing floor.

Jazzbones has provided many services for Honda include campaign strategy, graphic design, animations, social media and bespoke illustration.

Jazzbones Founder and Creative Director Nathan Sandhu says: “It has been a real pleasure to work with Honda comms team over the years on projects big and small, and to build what essentially was a partnership with their marketing and HR departments. It has been an example of the kind of symbiotic relationships with clients that Jazzbones specializes in building.”
